Tonight was Nocturne, Halifax’s festival of art at night. There are a few things in this world that can consistently make me weep with joy, and events like this are one of them. I performed a monologue (masterfully written/directed by Evan Brown) in a basement of my favourite theatre in the world, had an experience like no other at the Living Museum put on by DaPoPo Theatre, and caught the tail end of a few wonderful installations on my way home.
This is a drawing of a woman watching Richard II at the Living Museum. Later I saw her drawing on one of the blank canvas Coast boxes. I hope you had a good night, lady! I’m sorry I drew you without asking permission.
